• Camera & Photos: Used to capture or upload images of your meals for visual AI nutritional analysis. Images are processed securely and are never shared publicly unless you choose to post them to the community feed.
• Notifications: Used to send you daily reminders to log your meals and hydration, as well as community social updates.

You can change our access or permissions at any time in your device's settings.

App Activity Data

We collect data regarding your usage of the App, such as food logs, recipes, exercise logs, daily water consumption, weight entries, community posts, likes, and chat messages with your AI coach. This data is stored to track your progress and provide the core functionality of the App.

Having accurate information about you permits us to provide you with a smooth, efficient, and customized experience. Specifically, we may use information collected about you via the App to:

• Calculate personal metabolic targets (daily calorie budget, water intake, protein/carb/fat targets).

OpenAI (Third-Party AI Service)

AivekAI integrates with OpenAI's API to analyze your food descriptions, scan meal photos, estimate nutrition values, and generate personalized coaching feedback. We obtain your explicit consent before transmitting any data to OpenAI. If consent is granted, the following details may be securely sent to OpenAI (api.openai.com):

• Your meal descriptions, text messages, and exercise logs.
• Photos of food/meals that you choose to scan.
• Basic wellness characteristics (age, weight, height, gender, and primary goals).

OpenAI processes this data strictly for generating your real-time responses and does not use API inputs to train OpenAI models. You can toggle or revoke your consent at any time in the app settings.

Supabase

We use Supabase for secure cloud backend services, including:

• Authentication: To manage user accounts securely.
• Database: To store your profile data, daily calorie/water goals, weight history, chat logs, and community posts.

Kochava

We use Kochava for app analytics and measurement to understand user signups, onboarding completions, and feature engagement. Kochava collects anonymized device identifiers and app events in compliance with privacy guidelines.

4. Data Retention

We will retain your personal information only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy. We will retain and use your information to the extent necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our policies.
